How It Works
Three steps from hierarchy to final weights
1. Draw the AHP hierarchy
Add your goal, criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives. No limit on their number.
2.Enter pairwise comparisons
Enter judgments or paste them directly from Excel. The consistency ratio is checked for every matrix.
3. Get the complete report
Download weights, the hierarchy chart and per-expert files in Excel and Word.
What You Get in the AHP Report
Every result you need for your thesis, paper or project, ready to download.
- Hierarchy chart: download your decision hierarchy as an image
- Local and global weights: for criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives

AHP Calculator vs Manual Excel
Excel works for small examples. Here is where an online AHP tool saves time.
| Manual Excel | Our AHP Calculator | |
|---|---|---|
| Hierarchy chart | —Draw it by hand | ✓Built-in, downloadable |
| Weight calculation | —Write your own formulas | ✓Automatic |
| Consistency ratio | —Calculate per matrix manually | ✓Automatic for every matrix |
| Multiple experts | —Merge files by hand | ✓Per-expert files and group results |
| Report | —Build it yourself | ✓Excel and Word report |
| Editing the model | —Rework formulas | ✓Edit the project, results update |
Prefer Excel? You can still copy your comparisons from Excel into the calculator.

Learn more →What Is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)?
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a multi-criteria decision-making method developed by Thomas Saaty. It breaks a complex decision into a hierarchy of a goal, criteria, sub-criteria and alternatives. You then compare the elements in pairs on a scale of 1 to 9, and AHP converts these judgments into weights. A consistency ratio below 0.1 is generally considered acceptable.
Our online AHP calculator performs all of these steps for you. If your judgments are uncertain or imprecise, try Fuzzy AHP software instead.

What is AHP software?
AHP software helps you apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process: build a hierarchy of goal, criteria and alternatives, enter pairwise comparisons, and get weights and a consistency ratio automatically.
Is the AHP calculator free?
Yes, there is a free demo with 5 projects, 5 criteria and 5 alternatives. No payment is required. Paid plans start at €9 for 30 days. See our plans.
How many criteria and alternatives can I use?
The demo allows 5 of each. Basic allows 10, Standard allows 50, and Professional is unlimited. Compare our plans for details.
Can I paste my pairwise comparisons from Excel?
Yes. You can copy a comparison table from Excel and paste it directly into the calculator.
How does the software check consistency?
It calculates the consistency ratio (CR) for every pairwise comparison matrix. A CR below 0.1 is generally considered acceptable.
Can I download the results?
Yes. You can view results online and download Excel and Word reports on every plan, including the free demo.
Can I include multiple experts?
Yes. You can download a pairwise comparison file for each expert and review the average judgments.
